Comment The C&C35 MkII is one of C&C’s best ever designs for a racer/cruiser sailboat. She has pleasing lines to look at and sails well, quick and responsive yet stable, and offers spacious comfortable accommodation below, with 6’ 5”headroom in the galley area. The layout is conventional; with double V-berth forward, single settee berth in the main cabin (plus the dining table folds down to a large double bed), and a single quarter berth aft. This boat has been well maintained throughout her life and is in very good condition.
Fibreglass hull, cast iron fin keel, diplaces 6000 lbs, 4'5" draft
Solid built daysailer weekender, this is a fun and easy to sail boat perfect for local cruising.
It is lightly equipped however the hull and rigging are very solid and in excellent condition.
The interior has some stains and the interior cushions could use replacingor refurbishing. The water tank is disconnected and the alcohol stove is a big question mark. We have owned this boat for three years and never felt comfortable with an alcohol stove so we used a propane camp stove that we will include with the boat. We were never on the boat more than 10 days in a row so we just carried jugs of water. Marine head but no holding tank.
It comes with a 8 Hp mercury outboard, 2 fore sails 1 has some rust stains, both are in good working condition. Main sail, with 1 reef, was recently in for some restiching and we were told it is still in very good condition. Two large lazarettes under the cockpit seats with lots of storage. Andersen winches. 2 anchors, main anchor is a Danforth with 30 feet of chain and 180 feet of line, spare anchor is a Bruce with chain and line attached.
Many recent upgraded items:
Hull was taken to bare and epoxy barrier coat proffessionaly applied to the cast iron keel and forward parts, then 3 layers of micron CSC bottom paint June 2008. New running rigging, halyards 2008, main sheet in 2007 Genoa tracks rebedded cars replaced 2006 New running lights 2006, New interior lights 2008 VHF radio 2007, Windex 2008 Also included in the sale is an older polaris 8' inflateable dinghy with a older 2 hp outboard. Both in good working condition. There is also a cockpit tent and a whisker pole. Life jackets, life ring, flares plus more 2006 Survey available to view
Displacement is 8100lbs ballast 4000lb length 32ft, beam 9ft7", draft 5ft9" Interior is all teak, drawers, doors bulk-heads & trim fwd v-berth with skylight/hatch, marine head with privacy door. holding tank(15 imp gall) has jabsco pump and is overboard at this time as pump stations rare around here, but you can go into marine parks etc and not worry. Two settees in main cabin can be berths. heater is a Force 10 propane with exhaust chimney. Quarter berth , stbd. side. very comfy. chart table hinges up, vhf is recent is dsc capable galley has ice chest. many great meals have come out of that oven, all weathers ! engine has 15gal diesel tank, recent rings and bearings and fuel pump rebuild. see enclosed list of work done over the years. small electric bilge pump under engine drive is a "Saildrive" with 2 blade folding prop---really nice design, (no shaft to drip) tiller steering. cockpit has deep locker port, rope locker stb., propane tank under aft seat. also manual pump to main bilge.
Painted decks with non-skid last summer. Micron bottom paint and new zincs every year. Apart from flares out of date she met the local Coast Guard Courtesy check requirements. Alan Betton ( TotalBoat Marine inspections) did a report 3 years ago and we did all the upgrades he suggested. We have enjoyed this boat for 15years, she is always in the lead group in our club races, awesome in light airs We have cruised lots too, all seasons, mainly Gulf of Georgia, that picture is Princess Louisa Inlet 2008, 10 days trip. Sails are older but very serviceable, 4 jibs, 2 spinnakers ( one a bit tired!) If you want to race really seriously I have a friend in Bellingham with a suite of quite new sails off a sister-ship.
